Want peace of mind while riding your dream horse? Well here is Mrs. Dependable! And Sydney is just that. This gorgeous, buckskin mare is a trustworthy partner, gentle soul, and a forgiving teacher. She is ultimate insurance policy for safety and security for your family and loved ones. Sydney is very trained and exposed in and out of the arena. She never has a bad day, never says no, and doesn’t want to be any trouble. She is a blast to ride with a solid reining foundation executing beautiful lead departures, correct spins, lead changes, and a good stop.  She has the smoothest, easiest gaits and could lope circles in a short bed pickup truck. She guides willingly one handed or will direct rein as well. Everything she does is slow and easy, but she is not lazy and doesn’t require spurs. Absolutely nothing in our program has rattled this mare. Sydney never blinked an eye at blowing tarps, heavy machinery, loud gunfire, or any of the menagerie on our ranch including camels, buffalo, longhorn cattle, pigs, the kangaroo, or our pack of dogs.

Sydney walks right into bodies of water,  navigates easy through our desert, and is unbothered by wildlife. She is extremely sure footed and can pick her way through rough, mountainous terrain. Sydney is a total love bug. She is easy to catch and her ground manner are spot on. She will tie and trailer next to other horses without any mare tendencies. She is perfect in the pasture and as good natured as any gelding. She is an absolute angel on the trails and is confident alone or is excellent in a group. Sydney is unfazed by the hustle and bustle of town and cruises quietly down the road amongst the busy traffic, motorcycles, bicycles, and people. I would trust her wholeheartedly with beginner riders and she is the perfect confidence builder and babysitter.

Sydney is handy around the ranch. We have sorted cattle in the pens, gathered cattle in the pasture, and pushed the roping steers up the chute. She ground ties where you drop a rein and will side pass to open any gate.  Sydney is a great size, standing 14.2 hands and not too wide. She is very comfortable to ride, easy to mount and dismount, and rides English and bareback too.

At 10 years old she has her entire life ahead of her. She’s a seasoned, experienced veteran that is ready for her forever home to be continuously loved and cared for. She deserves the the very best.
