How about the safest, cutest, red roan. This outstanding little gelding that we affectionately call Bugs stands a mere 14 hands he is easy to climb aboard and go have fun. This sweet natured gelding does it all, from the arena to the ranch and everything in between. Bugs has plenty of athletic ability and talent to go anything you want to do horseback, but at the same time is a fun, honest, and gentle partner.

Bugs will cut a cow, box one on the short wall, is easy to rope on and is a blast in the sorting pens. He is an NCHA cutting money earner with very limited showing. He is handy trained with a one handed neck rein and will steer right where you point him and go without hesitation. Bugs has the easiest, smoothest short lope and you can sit on him all day long in comfort!

Did I mention how gentle Bugs is?? He is a kind old sole that will take care of anyone and everyone. He’s the perfect babysitter, confidence builder, and would be perfect for a beginner equine enthusiast. He has a calm, forgiving and tolerant demeanor. He won’t get upset or irritated over miscues or mistakes. Bugs has been ridden all over our trails, down the roads, and in the mountains. He is superb in rough terrain, prickly cactus, thick brush and wildlife. We will confidently take care of person. He rides perfect solo or will bravely lead a group of horses or will happily trail behind and walk with a draped rein back to the barn.

He has ridden him all over our desert and up in the mountains searching for Indian ruins and artifacts. Bugs has deep stops, great lead departures, a soft and supple ribcage and face, and nice spins. He is very cowy and can hold a quick cow from the herd and has the heart the size of TX when it comes to grit.

Bugs is accustomed to blowing tarps, gunfire, heavy machinery, and busy traffic. I have ridden him several times into our touristy town with all the commotion of people, vehicles, motorcycles, strollers, flags and banners. He’s been around crazy dogs, pigs, buffalo, longhorn cattle, and even a camel. He is great through the trail obstacles including logs, bridges, gates, and drags. Bugs has impeccable ground manners and is a total love bug. He’s going to be inquisitive about what’s in your purse and be scouting cookies, but always a complete gentleman. He enjoys being bathed, groomed and pampered and is always the first to meet you at the pasture gate or stall door.

Bugs comes in a fun size package, but is plenty stout with good body structure. He has great feet and plenty of bone to carry most riders throughout the day whether it be working or pleasure. Always the same sweet natured and gentle boy you left even with substantial time off. Saddle him up and go have fun. Not a mean bone in his body.
