Bailey

There aren’t many horses that can spin a hole in the ground, drag a calf to the fire, then pack out an elk on your hunting trip but Bailey is one of them! Bailey stands at 15hh and is royally bred with both her dam and sire being money earners. This mare is a joy to ride in the arena, has a quick turnaround, nice stop, lead changes, a lovely slow jog, beautiful working trot, and a rocking horse lope. Not only is she arena broke but she has traveled many miles out on the ranch and will watch a cow.

She has been used to sort, doctor, brand, pick her way through rough country and down timber, started out of the box on the heel side, trailed cattle, packed the American flag, and she’s been taken on overnight pack trips. What’s really cool about Bailey is she’s branding day disaster broke- last spring she stood tied quietly 15 feet from our branding trailer when the hose blew off the pot, the flames were climbing into the air, and the propane hoses were hissing and flying around (in fact, we may we need to teach her a little about self-preservation.) My favorite thing about this mare is the way she trots out in the morning on a loose rein low headed and ready to work.

She’s one that would excel in whatever direction you’d like to take her whether that’s the show pen or back out on the ranch. Bailey has packed beginners down the trail and in the arena, but she would work best with an intermediate rider on up or a less experienced rider working with a trainer. She is not spooky but can be more forward when she's cycling or on a first ride out after a long break.

Overall, she's easy to get along with and would work for a variety of riders. We want to see her go to someone who will use her and enjoy her, she's too nice to be a pasture pet. Bailey is an absolutely stunning mare.
